Wildfires Stay Well Away from Anaheim Convention District

HIL ANDERSON, SENIOR EDITOR

Anaheim, CA – Tourism officials in Anaheim said the wildfire that devastated parts of Orange County over the weekend did not disrupt convention and tourism activities in the city. The fire, which was largely contained November 18, erupted in Brea, Yorba Linda and Anaheim Hills, a residential area about 15 miles northeast of Disneyland and the Anaheim Convention Center. It burned nearly 29,000 acres and destroyed 250 homes. The Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau said the convention center and all nearby attractions were operating normally.
