According to a 2006 survey by Healthcare Convention & Exhibitors Association and Pri-Med, professional attendance at healthcare industry conventions climbed 13.8% over the past five years and the number of exhibitors grew 15.7%. The study also found that exhibits are the top source of information about new healthcare-related technology.  The CEIR Index, an annual report of exhibition performance compiled  by the Center for Exhibition Industry Research,   also discovered above-average growth in the health care sector.  The CEIR Index found that attendance at health care shows grew 3.4% in 2005 over 2004  (For more details, go to https://tradeshowexecutive.com/news_online_main.asp?id=298)

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Life Sciences Media Group of Burrill & Company stages a series of executive-level conferences worldwide, including the Stem Cell Meeting, Personalized Medicine Meeting and the Biotech Meeting at Laguna Niguel, an exclusive event for biotech CEOs now in its 20th year. Burrill’s flagship publication is its annual State of the Industry Report, which is the Bible for the biotech industry, providing  insights, intelligence and information
