Vancouver Seeks GM for its Expanding Convention Center

Vancouver, BC -The Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre (VCEC) began a search for a new general manager upon the departure of Barbara Maple. Maple left in a management restructuring ahead of the 2009 opening of the center’s expansion and is working as a consultant.

Claire Smith was appointed vice-president, sales and marketing for the VCEC. She is a former director of sales & client services for the center and was a private consultant for the past three years. She will be responsible for strategic global business development.
