CHICAGO – An event management veteran has been tapped to run event operations at Trade Show Executive magazine.
Marcia Williams, CMM, CMP, will join the TSE team as VP of Events. Diane Bjorklund, will assume the role of TSE’s Senior Sales Representative – Event Sponsorships.
An award-winning event professional, Williams has vast experience in the design, production and management of conferences and special events. Throughout her career, she has brought an entrepreneurial and strategic approach to event design and logistics for events ranging from 20 to 3,000 attendees.
“We are excited to welcome Marcia and her particular skill set to the team,” said Trade Show Executive Publisher & Editor Gabrielle Weiss. “We are proud to have two strong events and sales professionals on our team as we continue to refine and expand our portfolio with events that enhance the attendee experience.”
Williams has worked for a variety of well-established organizations like the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) and has served as the Director of Operations at the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Foundation. Active in the meetings industry, she’s also served on multiple industry committees, and is currently president-elect on the MPI Texas Hill Country Chapter Board of Directors. She was named the 2017 MPI Texas Hill Country Meeting Planner of the Year, and its 2016 Education Volunteer of the Year.
