TSE Readers Voted Freeman’s Katy Wild and the Consumer Electronics Association as Most Innovative

Oceanside, CA – Katy Wild, executive vice president of Consumer Relations for Freeman, was voted “The Most Innovative Individual in the Trade Show Industry” and the Consumer Electronics Association was judged “The Most Innovative Organization,” according to the results of the Trade Show Executive 2012 Readers’ Choice Innovation Awards in which 1,683 readers cast their votes online.  Other big winners included onPeak for “The Most Innovative Tech Initiatives Serving Show Management;” Freeman, for “The Most Innovative Tech Initiatives Serving Exhibitors;”  the Orange County Convention Center,for “The Most Innovative Tech Initiatives Serving Attendees;”  and the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority, for “The Most Innovative Tech Initiatives Serving Show Management, Exhibitors & Attendees.”

In the green arena,  the International CES won First Place honors for “The Most Innovative Green Initiatives by Show Management;”  the Anaheim Convention Center was lauded for  “The Most Innovative Green Initiatives by a Convention Center;” and Global Experience Specialists (GES) grabbed the spotlight  with “The Most Innovative Green Initiatives by a Service Contractor.”

The Second and Third Place winners in each of the nine categories  were also announced.

“There are a few things you can always count on in our business:  markets evolve, requirements change, and service providers seek ways to leverage these developments to their advantage,” said Darlene Gudea, president of Trade Show Executive Media Group. “The organizations that are the most innovative, year after year, are always reinventing themselves, essentially‘eating their own lunch’ before someone else does,” she said.
