TSE Named Finalist for Business Publishing Awards

HIL ANDERSON, SENIOR EDITOR

Chicago — Trade Show Executive (TSE) is a five-time finalist for the 2018 Azbee Awards of Excellence presented by the American Society of Business Editors (ASBE).

The association announced in March that TSE had made the cut for five articles for this year’s Azbees, including two national awards and three regional honors. The national winners will be announced May 10 at the B2B Media Success Conference in Washington, D.C., while the regionals will be unveiled at regional ASBE chapter galas in April and May.

“We are thrilled to have received this recognition by such a prestigious organization. Everyone on our staff works diligently to continue our long tradition of creating an award-winning magazine,” said TSE Publisher & Editor Gabrielle Weiss. “For Danica and Sandi to be recognized specifically for the news analysis and case history categories is a testament not only to their individual talent, but also to TSE’s overall dedication to providing straight reporting and valuable information that aims to benefit our industry.”

TSE News Editor Sandi Cain is a national finalist for her recent look at event security. Danica Tormohlen, Editor-at-Large, reached the national finals with her article on the reimagining of Oracle’s OpenWorld conference. Three other articles written by Tormohlen were named regional finalists:

  • Informa’s Yacht Club
  • Launching a U.S. Event in Cuba
  • Registration & Lead Retrieval Trends

Along with Tormohlen and Cain, Weiss; Associate Managing Editor David Roknic; Interim Art Director Shannon Mashek, and Graphic Designer James Miller, were also included in the nominations.
