Dallas, TX – Trade show revenues continue to grow this year with an 11.3% increase for the second quarter over the same period in 2006, according to the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR).
Data collected by CEIR for its annual CEIR Index concluded that show revenues totaled $2.65 billion in the second quarter. “We have had two great quarters and the trend is expected to continue through 2007,” noted CEIR President Doug Ducate.
The data also found show attendance up an impressive 13.5% in the quarter compared to Q2 of 2006, the number of exhibitors up 4.5% and net square footage 3% higher than the same period last year.
The figures marked a continuation of the bullish trend seen in 2006 when the overall exhibition industry grew 4.8% compared to 2005. And 2005 was 5.8% higher than 2004, according to CEIR.
