Trade Show Executive’s ZOOM Trade Show Locator™ Now Live

TSE STAFF

Carlsbad, CA and Chicago, IL – On April 1, Trade Show Executive’s ZOOM Trade Show Locator™ went live at www.tradeshowexecutive.com, providing both a wide angle and closeup view of 2,300 of North America’s leading trade shows.  The database is a strategic partnership between Trade Show Executive magazine and B2B Communications who together launched a new print and online tool for show organizers. ZOOM is updated hourly and searchable by numerous fields.  The print edition debuts in the May issue of Trade Show Executive magazine.

“Acquisitions, strategic partnerships and co-locations are rapidly changing the face of the exposition industry,” said Darlene Gudea, VP/publisher & editor of Trade Show Executive.  “ZOOM will enable senior executives to tap into the latest information on the most important shows in North America.  Whether they want a quick reminder of shows on the horizon or are seeking to narrow their search for potential partnerships, ZOOM will provide rich data online in real time, as well as in print each month.”

Vince Battaglia, B2B Communications president, said, “The partnership between TSE and B2B enables both organizations to combine resources to provide the most accurate and up-to-date database on expositions.”  At the present time, the focus is on building a quality database with a select number of shows which will enable TSE and B2B to branch out into research projects as well.   “The ZOOM database has been under development for four years and presently includes 2,300 shows. We expect to reach 3,000 by year end,” said Battaglia.  “The database is updated in real time, rather than monthly or annually,  to reflect changes in ownership, management or key metrics.”

Battaglia has 17 years of experience in the exposition industry, including sales positions at the Sands Expo & Convention Center, Laarhoven Design, TWI Logistics and Cort Trade Show Furnishings. He is the 2008 President of the Exhibit Designers and Producers Association/Midwest chapter.

Starting with the May issue of Trade Show Executive magazine, ZOOM will list a subset of the entire database, specifically, the major North American trade shows scheduled in July.  Each succeeding issue of TSE will list the shows coming up two months hence. The shows will be grouped by industry sector in the print edition,  and each listing will provide data on the name of  the show, acronym, management, venue, industries served, projected size and web address.  The online version, now available, provides the full database of 2,300 shows with the same listing information, but it is searchable by numerous fields.
