Trade Show Executive Adds to Staff

TSE STAFF

Carlsbad, CA – Two new positions have been created at Trade Show Executive as a result of YTD revenue growth of 33% and new initiatives debuting in September.  Carol Andrews, an award-winning journalist with more than 16 years of experience in the exposition industry, joins Trade Show Executive as editor-at-large. She will work on special projects, surveys, feature articles and directories. Carol began her career in the trade show industry in 1986 as assistant editor of Tradeshow Week and was promoted five times, reaching the position of editor-in-chief in 2000. In 2003, she joined Ascend Media as editor of Clinical Lab Products magazine. “Carol’s knowledge of the exposition industry and her versatility as a writer, editor and manager will be invaluable during peak periods and with our fast-growing new projects,” said Darlene Gudea, VP/publisher & editor.

Ricky Bello has been named technology & design manager for Trade Show Executive’s I-Show™, which debuts in September. Ricky will be the main point of contact with I-Show exhibitors  which will include convention centers, convention bureaus, service contractors and other service providers. He will work with them to develop a creative presence in TSE’s interactive I-Show. He has seven years of experience working for web-based media companies including United Service Companies and ShopLocal LLC (formerly CrossMedia Services, Inc.). “Ricky’s background and skills make him the perfect candidate for this new position,” said Gudea. “Not only is he well-versed in the latest technologies, but he is equally adept at translating techno jargon into layman’s terms. He is also an idea guy who will help I-Show exhibitors develop unique offerings in their virtual booth to reach new customers in an engaging way.”
