TechTarget Moves Toward Public Offering

Needham, MA – Online content provider TechTarget, Inc. has filed the initial paperwork on its proposed initial public offering of common stock.

The Massachusetts firm sent the Securities and Exchange Commission a registration statement that was not immediately in effect. The shares to be offered will come from TechTarget and from some of its current shareholders.

TechTarget produces  five IT events that are by-invitation-only including the CIO Decisions Conference and  Storage Decisions. The company has 35 specialized Web sites covering different aspects of IT, such as networking, data storage and security.  Morgan Stanley & Co. Inc., and Lehman Brothers Inc. were acting as joint book-running managers for the planned offering. Cowen and Company, LLC and Piper Jaffray & Co. were co-managers for the offering.
