Philadelphia, PA and Bethesda, MD – SMG, thePhiladelphia–basedmanagement firm for over 200 public assembly facilities including 60 convention centers, was sold yesterday to American Capital for an undisclosed amount. The transaction was handled by Morgan Stanley and the announcement was confirmed by Gregg Caren, who is rejoining SMG in ten days (see two related articles on TSE’s home page). SMG will continue to operate as a stand-alone company.
