Chicago, IL – The Society of the Plastics Industry, Inc. (SPI) and the NPE Executive and Operations Committee have selected SmithBucklin to sell exhibit space and handle customer service, logistics and floor plan management  for NPE 2006: The International Plastics Showcase. The last show, held in 2003 in Chicago, spanned 1,142,000 square feet of exhibit space. Barbara Voss, President of Vossworks, is Show Director for SPI-sponsored exhibitions.  Pat Dwyer, SmithBucklin’s  Senior Manager of Convention & Trade Show Services, will work with Voss as Co-Show Director.

“After our success with SmithBucklin in the production of Plastics USA 2004, we are confident they will again exceed our expectations in the production of NPE 2006,” says Barbara Voss, President of Vossworks, a member of SPI’s exposition management team and show director for SPI-sponsored exhibitions.

The next edition of the triennial NPE will be held June 19–23, 2006, in Chicago’s McCormick Place. The event is expected to draw 75,000 attendees and 2,000 exhibitors, who will utilize more than 1 million net square feet of space. At least one-third of the exhibitors are expected to come from outside the United States.
