Los Angeles, CA – Southern California’s SDC Convention Services closed its doors and ceased operations.
SDC, also known as Sheppard Decorating Company, Inc., was headed by Joseph Sheppard, president. The company advised exhibitors on its website to contact their respective show managers for assistance. Show managers were told to contact venue management for other service options.
An inventory of SDC equipment was scheduled to be sold off in Commerce, CA by Ostrin & Ostrin Auctioneers on March 18. The inventory listed staging material, forklifts and 1,500 rolls of carpet.
The exact date of the closure was not known. The phone at the company’s Los Angeles office was disconnected and the only other information available was a link that former employees could use to track down their W-2 forms.
SDC was not affiliated with Shepard Exposition Services, Inc., a nationwide show management and services contractor that is headquartered in Atlanta and has an office in Anaheim.
