HIL ANDERSON, SENIOR EDITOR

Mumbai, India – Reed Exhibitions India acquired Alcastek, a leading aluminum-industry trade show, from NCS Associates (Australia) Pty Ltd., and will add it to the ALUMINIUM INDIA exposition that Reed will launch next winter.Reed said Alcastek gained a reputation in its five years of existence as India’s top conference and exhibition on casting and rolling-and-extrusion technology. Reed currently produces the world’s largest aluminum show,  ALUMINIUM World Trade Fair & Conference, in Germany, as well as ALUMINIUM China  in Shanghai and an ALUMINIUM International pavilion at Expo Aluminio Brazil in Sao Paulo.

ALUMINUM INDIA debuts Feb. 22-24, 2008 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. Reed expects it to draw 2,500 visitors and about 100 exhibitors with floor space estimated at 5,000 gross square meters (53,820 square feet).

India is seen as poised for significant growth in aluminum production and consumption as its growing economy increasingly demands new consumer goods.
