Newton, MA – Questex Media Group, Inc. expanded its reach in the office products, documents and digital imaging sector with its acquisition on June 7th of Imaging Network, producer of the ITEX (Imaging Technology Education and Exposition) trade show in Las Vegas. The deal also added a custom publishing unit and the publications imageSource, Office World News and Office Furniture and Design to the Questex portfolio.
Questex President & CEO Kerry Gumas said Imaging Network compliments his company’s ON DEMAND Digital Printing & Publishing Conference and Exposition and AIIM Expo, the annual show sponsored by AIIM –The Enterprise Content Management Association. He said the acquisition opens up a new channel to Questex clients. He said Questex serves 3 million small and medium-sized business executives through its print, event and web offerings in markets such as beauty, hospitality, leisure and home entertainment
Co-founder Marc Spring will continue as Imaging Network’s president from his current location in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
The annual ITEX show draws about 250 exhibitors and more than 3,200 attendees from the document technology industry. The 2008 event will be held Feb. 21-22 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
