Questex Acquires Jazd Markets; Adds Most of its Assets to Portfolio

HIL ANDERSON, SENIOR EDITOR

Newton, MA – Questex acquired most of the assets of Jazd Markets, a provider of lead-generation and digital b-to-b directories that will be integrated into Questex’s online platforms and trade shows.

Questex’s exhibitions division will make use of Jazd as its go-to technology for show directories plus various services and self-service functions used by customers. “This will include integration with floor plans, options for print output and mobile access as well,” Kerry Gumas, president and CEO of Questex, told Trade Show Executive. “Suppliers will have a variety of options for lead-generation, including pre-show, at-show and year-round programs providing exhibitors and buyers an additional channel for engagement and show management an additional revenue source.”

Jazd directories feature information on more than 100,000 suppliers for various industry sectors worldwide and receive approximately 2 million impressions each month. The directories will be added to both Questex-branded and FierceMarkets sites.

Questex will also add its own company-produced content to existing Jazd sites, which will in turn benefit both buyers and sellers in those individual industry sectors by expanding the Jazd audience by around 7 million business decision-makers, Questex said.

Gumas said Questex and Jazd already enjoy a business relationship. “When Jazd was first launched under a publishing-partner model, Questex was its first partner,” he said. “The four initial Questex and FierceMarkets directories continue to be the largest, most-searched directories on the site.”
