PRG to Acquire XL Video Group; Expands to 40+ World Locations

HIL ANDERSON, SENIOR EDITOR

Armonk, NY – Production Resource Group (PRG) agreed to acquire XL Video Group, a European firm that, like PRG, supplies audio-visual services to trade shows and other live events on three continents.

The deal includes XL Video’s 14 locations, including offices in Atlanta and Los Angeles, and expands PRG’s services to its global clients to more than 40 cities worldwide. “PRG and XL are well positioned to provide multi-disciplined integrated solutions,” said Stephan Paridaen, global president and COO of PRG.

“By combining XL Video with PRG, we are creating a tremendously valuable resource for event and entertainment producers anywhere in the world,” said PRG’s Chairman & CEO Jeremiah J. Harris. “The integrated company will be able to offer an exceptional breadth of production technologies and depth of industry expertise.”

XL Video was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in Belgium. Like PRG, it offers a range of video solutions for television productions, concerts and sporting events as well as trade shows and corporate events.

The acquisition of XL Video in May was the second of the year for PRG. In January, the company acquired Chaos Visual Productions, a Burbank firm specializing in live-event video production. Chaos was added to the PRG Nocturne division, which specializes in video production at concerts.
