Pittman Walker named CEO of Washington Convention Center Authority

Washington, DC – Reba Pittman Walker was named general manager and CEO of the Washington Convention Center Authority on June 15 after serving six months as acting general manager. Tom Mobley, former general manager and CEO of the Washington, DC Convention Center, joined Global Spectrum as its senior vice president of convention centers in January.

Walker spent 12 years with the center, becoming operations director before leaving to become president of the Hotel Association of Washington, DC. She returned to the WCCA last year. Her resume also includes stints in the Clinton White House and as chief of staff to Mayor Anthony Williams. The new Washington Convention Center, located downtown, offers 703,000 square feet of prime exhibition space and hosts a packed calendar of conventions, conferences and exhibitions including The  Washington Gift Show, Technet International 2006 and GridWorld.
