RENEE DIIULIO, SENIOR EDITOR

Orlando, FL — Show organizers, meeting planners and exhibitors heading to Orlando now have a convenient citywide event planning resource through the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC). The facility has partnered with Universal Orlando resort to provide planning services for off-site events at the resort’s many venues.

The partnership aims to increase the convention center’s competitiveness. “Our services will help the convention center leverage local assets to bring business to Orlando,” says Paul Rothenberg, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Universal Orlando.

The OCCC offers 2.1 MIL total square feet of exhibit space and 74 meeting rooms representing 479,190 square feet of meeting space. Universal will have an office on site at the center staffed with professionals knowledgeable about the varying needs of clients, both association groups and corporate clients. Planners will find help organizing their daytime or evening events, ranging from networking to product launches, at sites including the theme parks and the CityWalk entertainment and dining complex.
