Houston, TX – Leah Mastaglio today was named assistant general manager for NRG Park in Houston, which is managed by SMG. The announcement from SMG and Harris County Sports & Convention Corp. said her 15-plus years of experience and the portfolio she has built in Houston were considerations in the appointment. In her new role, Mastaglio will oversee event and guest services, operations, maintenance, grounds, technical services, parking and security.
NRG Park is the eighth largest convention center in the U.S., according to the June 2014 edition of Trade Show Executive’s World’s Top Convention Centers. NRG Park offers 1,056,213 square feet of prime exhibit space.
Mastaglio most recently served director of event services at NRG Park, where she was responsible for overseeing all event activity for the property and managing the security, medical and electrical contracts.
NRG Park also promoted Jeff Gaines from assistant general manager to senior assistant general manager. He will continue to oversee the sales, marketing, sponsorships and ticketing departments, and work alongside General Manager Mark Miller to plan and book the more than 500 events held at NRG Park each year.
