San Diego, CA – Edward “Ned” Krause was named the recipient of the second annual Robert J. Krakoff Award March 30 by the Society of Independent Show Organizers (SISO).

Krause is president and CEO of E.J. Krause & Associates and is active in SISO and many other international industry associations.

The award, which was established last year, is presented by a SISO committee made up of veterans of the trade show industry and is intended to honor the leaders of the exhibition industry who have made lasting contributions to the industry as a whole.

Krause spent six years on the SISO board as well as the board of UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry. He and his father, Ted Krause, formed E.J. Krause & Associates in Bethesda, MD in 1985 and have since expanded worldwide with more than 50 shows in 14 industry sectors.

Krause accepted the honor at the SISO CEO Summit. He told his colleagues at the luncheon that he had seen a lot in his more than 25 years in the industry and urged organizers to continue providing value to their customers and developing creative ideas. “Keep an entrepreneurial spirit thriving in your organizations,” he said. “That is the backbone of our industry.”
