Avon, CT – Mike Hough, a founding member of SISO, the Society of Independent Show Organizers, died on Christmas Day at the age of 65, according to a news announcement from SISO.  Hough was a founding partner of A/E/C Systems, a trade show for architects, engineers and construction professionals.  He also partnered with Sam Lippman to produce the annual ECEF – the Exhibition and Convention Executives Forum, but retired two years ago.  Lippman told Trade Show Executive, “Mike was the best partner anyone could ask for – smart, honest and hard-working.  I have a lot of great memories of our working together.  I think of him often and will continue to do so for a long time to come.  My heartfelt condolences go his family, I know that because of them, he was a proud and happy husband, father and grandfather. “

Hough authored the book, The Profitable Tradeshow, and spoke at numerous industry meetings. “The industry has lost one of our great visionaries and leaders.  We will miss Michael greatly, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time,” said Mary Beth Rebedeau, SISO’s executive director.
