Messe Munchen, ITE to Launch Co-Location with MODEX

HIL ANDERSON, SENIOR EDITOR

Atlanta, GA – The Materials Handling Institute (MHI) formed a collaboration with Messe Munchen and Britain’s ITE Group that will bring a new co-located show to MHI’s MODEX in 2018.

Transportation & Logistics Americas (TLA) will debut when MODEX convenes in Atlanta in Spring 2018. The new show brings elements of external logistics and transportation to MODEX, which is focused on manufacturing and supply chain.

“Both events provide excellent synergies as the two areas of supply chain and logistics present themselves jointly in the future,” said Laurent Noel, Industry Director of ITE. “Co-locating with the established MODEX event offers TLA exhibitors an excellent venue to showcase their solutions.”

MODEX is held biennially and this year increased its exhibit space by 14.0% to 284,000 net square feet (nsf) over the 2014 show, which placed 91st on the most-recent Trade Show Executive Gold 100 rankings of largest US trade shows.

Messe Munchen organizes the biennial show transportation logistic in Munich, which drew more than 55,000 attendees in 2015. ITE Group’s portfolio includes the five Breakbulk shows held in Houston and four overseas cities.
