‘Logical’ Move to Name Butch Bartlett the Chief Creative Officer of Tradeshow Logic

HIL ANDERSON, SENIOR EDITOR

Atlanta, GA – Industry veteran H.O. “Butch” Bartlett was named chief creative officer for Tradeshow Logic and given responsibility for increasing the company’s growth and marketing visibility.

The venerable Bartlett, who has more than 35 years in the trade show industry, joined Tradeshow Logic in 2009. He had been chief strategy officer until April when Chris Price was brought in.

Bartlett said the time was right to divide up his previous job with Price. “We reached a point in our growth as a company where it was time to separate out creating customer strategies that grow event audiences and profitability — something that Chris does so well — from what I do, which is grow our company,” he said.

Price, former vice president of Graphic Arts Show Company, was one of three notable hires made by Georgia-based Tradeshow Logic in recent months. Donna Karl, former director of convention and meeting services for the American Academy of Pediatrics, was named vice president of event operations. And Robbi Lycett, former senior vice president, conventions & conferences for Biotechnology Industry Organization, joined the company as an events manager.

Bartlett was president and CEO of Andrews-Bartlett from 1976 to 1993 when the company, which had been founded by his father, Richard Bartlett, was acquired by GES. Butch remained with the firm as a senior executive vice president for nearly five years and then went into consulting work.
