Alexandria, VA – Johnnie White, a longtime medical meetings planner and executive, joined the American Academy of Otolaryngology—Head & Neck Surgery (AAO) as senior director of educations and meetings.
White joined the Alexandria, VA association on June 8th. He was most recently executive director of the Cardiovascular Research Foundation in New York. He was director of The Endocrine Society from 2002 to 2006.
White was the guest of honor for the live Power Lunch session at the 2014 Trade Show Executive (TSE) Fastest 50 Awards & Summit in Chicago. He was also featured on the cover of that year’s June issue of TSE.
White’s primary responsibility will be the AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting & OTO Expo on September 27-30 at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in Dallas. The event includes a revamped schedule and educational program. The 2014 meeting in Orlando drew 8,229 attendees, up 5.1% from the previous year. Exhibit space increased 6.6% to 68,700 net square feet.
