Irving, TX – Hanley Wood, LLC has acquired the assets of  StonExpo in an agreement with the StonExpo Federation and the Marble Institute of America. The purchase expands Hanley Wood’s presence in the residential and commercial construction industry. HW’s exhibitions division currently organizes 12 industry events, including World of Concrete.

When founded in 1987, StonExpo featured 143 booths and drew 970 attendees. Now the show  has reached nearly 900 exhibits attended by thousands of professionals in the stone industry. “StonExpo has been a great show for our industry and we feel Hanley Wood can improve it by attracting new attendees, expanding the show’s size and scope and helping to increase the use of stone through more exposure to more people,” says Alex Bachrach, President of the StonExpo Federation.

Under the purchase agreement, the StonExpo Federation and the Marble Institute of America will be official sponsors with a 45-year sponsorship agreement. Hanley Wood will organize StonExpo 2005, scheduled Nov. 10–12 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
