Oceanside, CA – Michael Guerriero joined the Trade Show Executive (TSE) Exposition Forecasting Board following his appointment as division president of Experient, A Maritz Travel Company.
Guerriero replaces Shawn Pierce, who stepped down from Experient at the end of April. Pierce had been in charge of Experient’s registration and housing operations until leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.
Guerriero joined Experient in 1990 and was the company’s CFO from 1995 until 2012 when he was named division president of event management. At the time of Guerriero’s latest promotion, Maritz Travel Company President David Peckinpaugh said Michael had developed “a deep understanding of the entire business.”
“Guerriero’s experience on the financial side of the trade show industry makes him a strong addition to TSE’s Forecasting Board,” said Darlene Gudea, president of Trade Show Executive Media Group. “In addition, with Experient as a leader in registration and housing, Michael has his fingers constantly on the pulse of the trade show industry. He is in a strong position to provide early alerts to our readers as the industry heats up or cools down.”
The panel of industry leaders weighs in monthly on the current state of the global economy and its effects on the exhibition industry. The Exposition Forecasting Board’s analysis is featured monthly in TSE’s “Trending & Spending” column. Members also take part in panel discussions on trade show economics at TSE and other industry events.
Experient provided registration services to 27 shows and housing services to 7 events on the most-recent TSE Gold 100 rankings of largest U.S. trade shows. Experient was the leading registration contractor on the TSE Fastest 50 with 22 shows and also provided housing services for 11 events.
Experient was acquired by Maritz in 2012.
