New York, NY – Greg Farrar was named president of Nielsen Business Media on Nov. 16 after running the company for nearly a year following the sudden death of Robert Krakoff in March.
Farrar, who has been with Nielsen for 20 years, had been chief operating officer since 2006 and will continue to report directly to Nielsen Company Chairman and CEO David Calhoun.
Nielsen Business Media’s portfolio includes the Kitchen/Bath Industry Show and Outdoor Retailer as well as the publications Adweek, Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter.
Farrar is no stranger to the trade show industry. He served as president of VNU Expositions and played an active role in trade show deals, particularly the acquisition of Miller Freeman USA and its 56 trade shows and conferences.
