Montreal – The Canadian branch of GES Exposition Services, Inc. acquired Poitras Exposition Services, the largest exhibition services company in Quebec City, effective June 29. The move bolsters the nationwide operations of GES Canada, which already has offices in Quebec, Ontario, Alberta and Saskatchewan. Terms of the deal were not announced.
In addition to general service contractor services, Poitras provides exhibit design, furnishings, graphics and material handling. The family-owned company was founded in 1933. It services about 300 events annually and has a 25,000 square foot warehouse in Quebec City.
“Poitras has a dynamic management team and both companies share many of the same clients in different geographical areas,” said Mike Lecour, executive vice president of GES Canada. “We look forward to working with the Poitras team to provide seamless exhibition services to our clients across Canada, the United States and Europe through the GES Worldwide Network.”
