ATLANTA — Within months of being named President of Reed Exhibitions Americas, Fernando Fischer has been named to a high-profile position on the Board of the Society of Independent Show Organizers (SISO).
He will joining the rest of the SISO Board at the next Board Meeting, to be held in person on April 12 at the SISO CEO Summit at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island, along with four other new members, each of whom will serve a three-year term: Lisa Hannant, Group Managing Director, Clarion Events; Tom Kemp, Chairman & CEO, Northstar Travel Media; Paul Miller, CEO, Questex; and Nancy Walsh, President North America, Informa Markets. Mary Larkin, President, Diversified Communications USA, will become the new SISO Secretary Treasurer and Executive Committee Member.

As President of Reed Exhibitions Americas, a position he took over in November 2020, Fischer leads the company’s operations in the United States and Latin America. He joined Reed Exhibitions US as President in January of 2020 after spending three years as CEO of RX Brazil. Under his leadership, RX Brazil was named one of the “Best Places to Work” in the country.
