New York, NY – Emerald Expositions, Inc. promoted two long-time members of the NY NOW sales team to show directors for the venerable semi-annual New York City gift show.
Randi Mohr and Scott Kramer were both named vice president, show director for NY NOW and will take over the responsibilities previously held by Senior Vice President Christian Falkenberg, whose position was eliminated.
The moves come less than one year after Emerald acquired George Little Management LLC, the organizer of NY NOW, from its equity owners. The August edition of NY NOW experienced a (2.6)% decline in exhibit space to 516,000 net square feet (nsf). The 2012 show was ranked 24th on the Trade Show Executive Gold 100 with 545,000 nsf.
“These changes will strengthen NY NOW’s foundation and will position it for continued success,” said Christopher McCabe, executive vice president of Emerald. Mohr and Kramer will report to McCabe.
Mohr will continue to direct NY NOW’s HOME Collection and will take over responsibility for the overall show’s systems management and sales processes. Kramer added oversight of NY NOW’s HANDMADE Collection and Artisan Resource to his current duties of running the LIFESTYLE and NEW! Collections.
Emerald also promoted Allison Garafalo to sales director, adding HANDMADE to her previous responsibilities for Artisan Resource sales.
