Oceanside, CA – Diane Bjorklund, director of events for Trade Show Executive since December 2007, has been promoted to vice president of events, announced Darlene Gudea, president of Trade Show Executive Media Group. “Diane and her team launched Trade Show Executive’s Gold 100 Awards & Summit in September 2008 and it has quickly become an exclusive gathering of the leading minds in the exposition industry,” said Gudea. “The Gold 100 event has also been a major contributor to Trade Show Executive’s growth in the past two years,” she said.
“Diane is a perfectionist and has a well-deserved reputation of going above and beyond to help sponsors meet their objectives at the Gold Gala,” Gudea said. In the past year, Bjorklund has also expanded TSE’s event business with hosted luncheons for an overseas venue. In 2010 and 2011, Bjorklund will lead TSE’s strategic plan to expand both domestically and internationally.
Prior to joining TSE, Bjorklund was conference director and member services manager for four years at SISO, the Society of Independent Show Organizers. Her background also includes four years as human resources supervisor at Laventhol & Horwath.
