Deborah Sexton Resigns as Prez of Chicago CVB; Will Take the Reins of PCMA

TSE STAFF

Chicago, IL – Deborah Sexton is leaving one of the nation’s largest convention bureaus to  head up one of the industry’s most prominent associations. Sexton will head up PCMA as its President and CEO on or before March 15, announced Gregg Talley, PCMA Chairman and President of Talley Management Group.  Sexton succeeds David Kushner,  who served as President and CEO of PCMA since July 2002. Kushner’s contract was not renewed, and his three-year tenure at PCMA will conclude on February 25th.

Sexton joined the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau in 1994 as VP of Sales & Services and rose to President in  March 2003.

Speculation is that Christopher Bowers, CEO of the CCTB, will assume the dual role of President and CEO of the CCTB, as least in the interim, if not permanently.

More details will be posted this afternoon…….
