Washington, DC – Clarion Events increased its security and defense portfolio by acquiring a pair of conferences on border security from Eagle Eye Expositions.
Border Security Expo and U.S./Canada Border Conference were picked up by Clarion in July in a transaction that also has Eagle Eye’s Vice President/Show Director John Moriarty joining Clarion.
Border Security Expo, which this year drew about 150 exhibitors, will take place April 13-14 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio. The 2015 U.S./Canada Border Conference will be held at Cobo Center in Detroit on October 27-28.
Clarion U.S. Managing Director Lee Arevian said the events “are a perfect hand-in-glove fit” with Clarion’s existing roster of shows, which includes Sea-Air/Space, a member of the latest Trade Show Executive Fastest 50.
“We already know so many of the exhibitors and communities served by these shows,” Arevian said. “We are excited to help them align with all of the opportunities in this market.”
