Alexandria, VA – The Helicopter Association International (HAI) promoted Charlotte Zilke to director of conventions, replacing Tina Jones, who left the association in April.

The move puts Zilke in the pilot’s seat of the HAI HELI-EXPO, the flagship trade show for the helicopter industry. This year, HELI-EXPO drew 20,393 attendees and covered 309,200 net square feet (nsf) of exhibit space. The 2013 show will be honored as one of the 100 largest shows in the nation at the Trade Show Executive Gold 100 Awards & Summit, October 22-24.

Zilke joined the HAI in 2008 as exhibits coordinator and later became manager of convention services, which made her a prime point of contact for exhibitors as well as the lead developer of the exhibit area floor plan. She was also in charge of marketing the show.

Prior to joining HAI, Zilke was exhibit services coordinator for the National Association of Broadcasters.
