Dallas, TX – Doug Ducate will departas president & CEO of the Center for Exhibition Industry Research by year-end. Ducate led the association for 15 years, and will be most remembered for launching the CEIR Index, CEIR Census and Predict conference. He began his career at the Society of Petroleum Engineers in 1968 and rose in the ranks to manage the Offshore Technology Conference, one of the largest shows in the U.S. He is a past chairman of CEIR and NAEM (now the International Association of Exhibitions & Events) and was honored by the Convention Industry Council in the Hall of Leaders in 1995. CEIR Board member Dennis Slater, president of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, is chair of the search committee.
