Dallas, TX – Freeman expanded its marketing department Wednesday with the announcement that Carrie Freeman Parsons had been named chief marketing officer and Toby Purdy had been hired for the newly created position of senior vice president of marketing.
Carrie Freeman Parsons had been vice president of marketing at Freeman since 1998. She will continue to oversee the company’s marketing operations; direct overall corporate strategy; and interface with customers and industry associations. She serves on the company’s Board of Directors and Strategic Planning and Technology Committees. Parsons is active in industry associations. She serves on the board of the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR), the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau and Trade Show Executive’s Exposition Forecasting Board.
Purdy’s mandate will be to direct Freeman’s marketing operations to provide more value-added client services and support. He will also oversee operational and strategic areas including external marketing, industry events and corporate communications. Purdy joined Freeman from Greyhound Lines where he had been chief marketing officer.
