San Francisco – IDG World Expo has contracted with Event Insights, a joint offering of BPA Worldwide and Exhibit Surveys, to conduct an audit and research on attendees to LinuxWorld Conference & Expo San Francisco. The show was held earlier this week at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco. The report, which will be completed by Event Insights in about five weeks, will go above and beyond a quantitative measurement of show attendees.
Besides providing independent verification of attendance numbers for the show, the report will give a breakdown of attendee buying power, dollar volume of planned expenditures and other metrics. For exhibitors, the Event Insights report provides data to identify key market segments at the show and helps them quantify ROI. For show organizers, the report provides the means to identify the products that generated higher interest from attendees and the tools to consult with exhibitors to maximize their exhibit participation.
Coming up in Trade Show Executive next month: a closer look at Event Insights and why it is a giant leap for the exhibition industry. Look for TSE’s roundtable discussion with Glenda Brungardt, Hewlett Packard’s Trade Show and Events Manager for Consumer Group Americas; Glenn Hansen, President and CEO of BPA Worldwide; and Skip Cox, President of Exhibit Surveys.
