ASAE’s Annual Meeting to Feature Top Speakers and Strong Buyer-to-Seller-Ratio

HIL ANDERSON, SENIOR EDITOR

Washington, DC – More than 5,000 attendees are expected to make their way to Nashville for this Summer’s ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition.

The conference and trade show takes place August 9-12 at the new Music City Center in Nashville and will draw a top-tier crowd of executives from associations and other not-for-profits with their own meeting and event needs to fill. Last year’s event drew 5,400 delegates in a ratio of 62% buyers to 38% sellers. In addition, 78% of exhibitors at the 2013 meeting made contact with new qualified buyers.

The ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition will offer a slew of networking events plus more than 120 educational sessions. The opening and closing keynotes will be delivered by University Pennsylvania business professor Adam Grant and Noreena Hetz, author of Eyes Wide Open: How to Make Smart Decisions in a Confusing World.

Speakers include demographics expert Kenneth Gronbach, pricing strategist Rafi Mohammed and a little local Nashville flavor from Sarah Trahern, the CEO of the Country Music Association.

The calendar includes sessions tailored to attendees who want quick and focused discussions on specific topics related to associations and meetings. There are also Master Mind sessions featuring experienced veterans of the industry and Game Changer sessions with executives who have been “rocking the boat” and reaping the benefits.

Up to 10 Certified Association Executive (CAE) credits may be earned while at the meeting. Attendees can also rack up 17 hours toward their Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification or recertification.
