CHICAGO – Three Trade Show Executive (TSE) stories won prestigious ASBPE “Azbee” Awards Thursday night, as the magazine continues to rack up awards for its reporting and coverage of the trade show industry.

The awards were handed out by the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) at their regional ceremony in Chicago.

Editor-at-large Danica Tormohlen won two awards. She received a Silver Award in the Print Group Profile category for her Women to Watch story, which celebrated women across the trade show industry doing groundbreaking work, nodding to data compiled by both SISO and IAEE that showed women entering the industry at a remarkable clip. Tormohlen also won a Bronze Award in the All Content – Trade Show/Conference Coverage category for her UFI Global Conference Event Recap story.

Sandi Cain won a Silver Award in the All Content – Trade Show/Conference category, for her International Tourism Security Conference Keeps Center Stage story.

“I am incredibly proud of Danica and Sandi, who deserve recognition for their exceptional reporting,” said TSE Publisher and Editor Gabrielle Weiss. “TSE prides itself on outstanding, thought-provoking journalism about the trade show industry. We’ll continue on this path, keeping our finger on the pulse of the industry, and writing stories about issues that matter most to our audience.”

TSE, which marks its 20th anniversary this year, is also a first-time, national finalist for the top honor in the business publishing world - ASBPE’s Magazine of the Year Award. Winners will be announced May 9 at the National Azbee Awards of Excellence banquet in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Finalists in all categories were selected from more than 1,000 entries submitted by industry associations, B2B, trade, and other business publications across the U.S.
