ST. PETERSBURGH, Fla. -- Core-apps, an award-winning developer of mobile apps for the trade show industry and similar events, has been acquired by Community Brands. Financial details relating to the acquisition have not been shared publicly.

Core-apps celebrated its 10-year anniversary in March, during which time it achieved more than 2.6 billion downloads of its mobile apps.

“Event management is a growing industry that embraces new technology and innovation," said Core-apps CEO Jay Tokosch. "We are excited to further enhance the enterprise capabilities of the impressive event tech footprint of Community Brands.”

Core-apps is the latest in a trio of recent acquisitions by Community Brands in the events arena that included TripBuilder Media maker of EventMobile.

Last Summer, Expo Logic was added to the Community Brands portfolio. Expo Logic’s products provide registration, lead retrieval, and attendee-tracking capabilities. "Events represent a unique opportunity to create memorable moments that cannot be achieved in other ways," said Jean-Paul Guilbault, President and CEO of Community Brands. "With Core-apps and TripBuilder Media, together with our existing technology, we are helping organizations deliver a personalized attendee experience and reduce complexity for event planners.”
