Mexico City, Mexico – Trade show organizers in Mexico are reaching out to their international colleagues through a newly formed association.

The National Association of Expositions, Events and Conventions (ANPEEC) was launched a little more than a year ago as a platform for Mexican organizers and associations seeking to improve their trade show skills and expand their contacts with companies and individuals in the U.S. and other nations.

“We are just beginning as an association, but yes, our main objective is to integrate and professionalize this activity in Mexico and strengthen our relationships with the international community,” said J. Felix Villaseñor, director general of Productora Mexicana de Exposiciones, S.A. de C.V. (Promex) and president of ANPEEC.

ANPEEC is in the process of expanding its membership and has established committees dealing with member communications, education and industry statistics.
