CHICAGO—Long-time business events journalist Andrea Doyle has joined Trade Show Executive as its new Executive Editor. Doyle is known for her work at several of the meeting industry’s leading publications: Corporate Meetings & Incentives, Successful Meetings, Convene and, most recently, Prevue.

Doyle’s articles have garnered her success over the years in the form of several journalism awards, the most recent being an American Society of Business Publication Editors Gold Award for a Successful Meetings story she wrote about computer software giant Oracle’s efforts to implement sustainable practices at its conference. This was her second ASBPE Gold award. The first was a profile of Dr. Bruce Charash, whose organization, Doc to Dock, takes what would be medical waste in the United States and sends it to Africa, saving countless lives in the process.
“As the world slowly wakes from its COVID slumber, trade shows and exhibitions will help with recovery, and I am honored as well as humbled to have the opportunity to share its rebound with the readers of Trade Show Executive,” Doyle said. “As things evolve and change, I will keep digging to get the answers. We plan to not only report on, but offer different ideas about the industry and how to succeed in each issue of the magazine.”
Past accolades include recognition as a Jesse H. Neal Award finalist for overall excellence, a SITE Journalism Award, a Travel Media Showcase Journalist Award and a New Jersey Press Association Scholarship. She earned a B.A. in journalism from New York University.
