Access Intelligence Acquires P3C Media, Expands Footprint

TSE STAFF

Access Intelligence acquired P3C Media, the owner of the Public-Private Partnership Conference and Expo, in a bet on continued growth in that part of the event market.

For Rockville, Md.-based Access Intelligence, the purchase allows it to add a portfolio of events to its related operations to take advantage of increasing interest in public-private projects as the nation’s infrastructure ages and needs repairs. Terms of the deal, which closed on Oct. 12, were not disclosed.

“It fit all the criteria we have,” Don Pazour, Access Intelligence’s Chief Executive Officer, told Trade Show Executive in an interview. “It’s a nice strategic piece for us.”

Access Intelligence wants to keep growing organically and through acquisitions, Pazour said. The company’s strategy is to build a portfolio of products that are in markets that are emerging or in their adolescence, so Access Intelligence can grow faster than most other trade show and event firms, Pazour said.

P3C Media has operated several public-private partnership infrastructure conferences, including the P3 Water Summit, the P3 Federal Conference and the P3 Airport Summit.

P3C Media was founded in 2012 by Eric Iravani, who is staying on under the new ownership. Access intelligence said that P3C Media will operate in its energy and engineering division.

“As this market grows, our platform will grow with it,” Iravani told Trade Shoe Executive in an interview.

For P3C Media, the deal gives it the backing of a larger organization that will help accelerate growth. Iravani said that P3C Media has one of the largest infrastructure platforms in the market. It has seven events in its portfolio currently and plans to have a dozen by the end of 2020, Iravani said.

Corporate Solutions of Westport, Conn was P3C Media’s investment advisor. Nick Curci, President of Corporate Solutions, said P3C Media “had multiple offers” and that “it was a well-received offering.”
