Palm Beach Gardens, FL – LRP Conferences acquired four conferences in the education technology sector from 1105 Media, Inc. The financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Berkery Noyes represented 1105 in the negotiations.
The events feature new software and hardware entering the education market and draw attendees from among school administrators, teachers and district-level officials.
The largest event in the portfolio is called FETC, which draws approximately 9,000 attendees. It takes place in January 2016 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. The other events include: FETC Virtual, Campus Technology Conference and Campus Technology Forum. Ken Kahn, president of LRP Publications, the parent company of LRP Conferences, said FETC complimented his company’s HR Technology Conference & Exposition, which has been ranked twice on the Trade Show Executive Fastest 50.
“We saw a great opportunity to reach a wider education audience, as well as build on our existing HR Technology market, offering a broader audience to our technology exhibitors,” said Kahn.
