New York, NY – Fawcette Technical Publications, Inc., producers of specialized IT conferences, was acquired by 1105 Media, Inc., and will be merged into 1105’s Redmond Media Group.
Fawcette specializes in producing how-to information for IT professionals through print publications, Web sites and conferences such as the VSLive!, WebBuilder 2.0 and Software Architecture Summit. Redmond Media Group is an outlet for information for the Microsoft IT, channel partner and developer communities. It also produces the TechMentor 2007 conference to be held March 26-30 in Orlando.

Terms of the agreement struck in early January were not revealed. Berkery, Noyes & Company LLC represented Fawcette in the sale of the assets.
