Gold 100 Getaway: The Park Hyatt Aviara Has It All

Carlsbad, CA – The Trade Show Executive (TSE) Gold 100 Awards & Summit once again offers attendees from across the U.S. a perfect professional getaway as the exhibition industry heads into the home stretch of 2016. Southern California will again be at its best when the Gold 100 convenes September 21-23 at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, Golf Club & Spa just north of sunny San Diego. A special room rate of $275 per night is available to Gold 100 attendees. To make hotel reservations, you must first register for the Gold Gala and Summit. The room block closes Monday, August 22.

Queen of Carlsbad

This year is the first for the Gold 100 at the sensational Aviara, and attendees won’t be disappointed.

The Aviara is located an easy drive north of San Diego International Airport in the coastal community of Carlsbad. The 200-acre resort is one of the finest on the West Coast and has earned the coveted Forbes Five-Star and AAA Four Diamond ratings for its atmosphere, amenities, activities and overall excellence.

“Aviara is a ‘can’t miss’ venue that we are thrilled to offer to Gold 100 guests,” said Diane Bjorklund, Vice President of Events for Trade Show Executive Media Group. “We know it will provide a perfect mix of relaxation and productivity as we salute the largest and best trade shows of 2015.”

Aviara’s Spanish architecture blends perfectly with the coastal hills overlooking the Pacific and the protected wildlife habitat of the Batiquitos Lagoon. The grounds include a 15,000-square foot spa, a 3,200 sf outdoor pool, plus plenty of lounges and restaurants, topped by Vivace, which Zagat has ranked as the top eatery in the San Diego area. Carlsbad is also in the heart of America’s golf industry, and has the courses to prove it. The scenic Aviara Golf Course was designed by Arnold Palmer himself and is ranked among the top golfing destinations in the country by Golf Digest and Golf Magazine. The resort is also just a chip shot from other iconic links such as La Costa, Torrey Pines and The Crossings at Carlsbad.

Drive with the Top Down

September is called “Locals Summer” in San Diego County. It’s a time when the tourists are back in school and work, and the beach weather is top tier. Aviara is only a few miles from the scenic coastline. Take a cruise along the seaside Coast Highway and stop for lunch at one of the many restaurants in Del Mar, Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Encinitas, Carlsbad Village or Oceanside Harbor.

The city of San Diego and attractions such as Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, La Jolla and Balboa Park are easily accessible. The zoo’s Safari Park in the hills of Escondido is also a great day trip.

At the end of the day, hot air balloons dot the sky for an unforgettable view of the sunset over the ocean. The Aviara is also about 50 miles down the highway from Temecula and its world-famous wine country. Tasting tours provide attendees with a great opportunity to sample some of California’s best vintages – if you’ve never tried one, you should!

Whether you are out and about, or prefer to relax at the pool, the Aviara is a perfect base camp for anyone attending Gold 100 Week with their friends and colleagues.
