Dallas, TX – The guest list of top show organizers is impressive and growing for the May 25-27 Trade Show Executive (TSE) Fastest 50 Awards & Summit at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in fabulous Las Vegas.  Honorees will take part in a full slate of educational sessions and networking events during the countdown to the Fastest 50 Awards Gala and its annual salute to the fastest-growing shows of 2015.

With two months to go, the gold-standard roster of attendees already includes a wide cross section of large and small shows; in sectors from apparel to plastics; and shows run by associations and independents.  [See the list of registrants at the end of this article.]

Attendees will have an opportunity to interact with these luminaries and other top-level show managers both informally and during the sessions.

Here are some highlights of the Fastest 50 Summit:

  • Doug Stephens, author and futurist who earned the title “The Retail Prophet” and whose thinking has influenced many of the world’s best-known brands such as Disney, BMW, The Home Depot, Walmart, and eBay, will provide an inspiring kickoff to the Fastest 50.  To eliminate habits or structural problems that inhibit innovation, Stephens advises show organizers to experiment outside the perimeter of the exposition business to find new ideas that have traction.

A good benchmark:  Take 20% of your core assumptions and challenge them each year. He cited the adaptive growth cycle of forests. “If you schedule a controlled burn of 20% of a forest and let it regenerate, it’s going to be healthier.”

  • Power Lunch, hosted by Informa’s Rick McConnell, will feature an on-stage interview with Mary Dolaher and Madeline Kruzel, the powerhouses behind IDG World Expo’s ever-evolving Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).
  • Trade show marketing and savvy new ideas for working with the media will be the topic of a presentation by Angela Harar of The Vision Council.
  • George Jage and his Marijuana Business Conference & Expo broke from the gate quickly in the surging market for legal cannabis cultivation and sales and became one of the nation’s fastest-growing shows. George will discuss strategies for standing out in the pack in a saturated market.
  • Marco Giberti, Founder & CEO of Vesuvio Ventures, discusses technology, social media and digital innovations being used by festival promoters and concert organizers. See which ones can be adapted to B-to-B exhibitions.
  • Melinda Kendall of Freeman and her panel of show organizers look at the new, unique floor layouts that are turning trade shows into “experiences of a lifetime.”
  • An update on many current issues and topics that are trending topics in the industry comes from an interactive panel of experts. Karen Gebhardt of HAI HELI-EXPO will lead the discussion, which will include input and includes IAEE’s David DuBois, SISO’s David Audrain, CEIR’s Brian Casey, and ESCA’s  Larry Arnaudet.

The sessions will include time for questions and input from the audience. The speakers will also be mingling with their colleagues during the day’s ample networking breaks.

The opening reception will be hosted by MGM Grand Resorts at the Hyde, the latest in Las Vegas’ long list of chic hotspots and located along the Bellagio’s famed fountains.

Dinner and the pre-event reception at the Fastest 50 Gala will come courtesy of our title sponsor, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

And speaking of unique experiences, TSE and onPeak/GES are finalizing a great field trip for arriving attendees. Details will be announced at a later date, but for now think fast cars, banked turns and a chance to sharpen your driving skills.
