Informa Expands Food Ingredients Brand to U.S.

LAS VEGAS – SupplySide West will have some international company next year. when Informa launches a co-located U.S. edition of its Food ingredients brand in Las Vegas.

Food ingredients North America (FiNA) debuts Oct. 15-19 at Mandalay Bay alongside SupplySide West, and will bring together two of Informa’s leading brands in the food, beverage and nutritional supplements sectors.

“Fi North America, combined with SupplySide West, offers a one-stop opportunity for discovering ingredients and solutions, sourcing from leading suppliers around the world… and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and consumer expectations,” said Jon Benninger, Informa Vice President of Health & Nutrition.

The Food ingredients brand was part of UBM prior to Informa’s acquisition of UBM last year. The portfolio includes shows in Europe, South America and Asia. SupplySide West, which this year runs Nov. 6-10, featured 243,980 net square feet of exhibit space in 2017, an 8.7% increase over the previous year, according to the Trade Show Executive Dashboard of Monthly Trade Show Metrics. The 2017 show also drew 1,284 exhibitors and more than 16,000 attendees.

While SupplySide West has been a smashing success on its own, Informa expects the new FiNA will open doors to new international ingredients suppliers as well as contributing to the scope of the educational program that will be offered to attendees next fall.
