NASHVILLE — SouthComm Business Media has been acquired by Endeavor Business Media. The purchase (price undisclosed), announced in June, includes Endeavor acquiring all SouthComm publications, websites and events. SouthComm will shed its name as it becomes part of Endeavor’s growing portfolio.

Skokie, Ill.-based Gallo Business Media, a publisher and business-to-business event organizer, was similarly acquired by Endeavor earlier in June.

Endeavor reportedly will retain most of SouthComm’s staff, including Vice President of Events Ed Nichols (the subject of Trade Show Executive’s July 2018 Power Lunch), who’ll stay on in the same position.

“The combination of the expertise embedded in the SouthComm events team and the expertise of the former Gallo team gives Endeavor tremendous capacity to launch successful events in the niches we serve,” Endeavor CEO Chris Ferrell told TSE. “I’m very optimistic about the growth of our event business."

SouthComm’s biggest event, the Firehouse Expo, won three Fastest 50 awards from TSE in 2017: Fastest-Growing Show Managed by an Independent Organizer and Fastest-Growing Fastest 50 Show Overall. SouthComm itself took home the Rockstar Award.
